
Marc-Olivier Besse obtained his Master of Law at the University of Lausanne in 2004. From 2005 to 2007, he worked as legal counsel at the Communauté d’études pour l’aménagement du territoire (CEAT), which is affiliated to the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne (EPFL). From 2005 to 2009, he was also employed as assistant to Prof. Vincent Martenet at the University of Lausanne and gave a course to get an in-depth knowledge in public law. From 2007 to 2008 he was mandated to organize a legal training for the Service du développement territorial du canton de Vaud. He also worked as ad hoc law clerk for the Tribunal des Prud’hommes as well as for the Tribunal d’arrondissement de la Côte. Besides these activities, he wrote a PhD thesis “Le régime des plans d’affectation ; en particulier le plan de quartier”. He started his traineeship with BMP Associés in 2010.
